Until his untimely death, Manuel R. Romo volunteered countless hours of his life to creating educational opportunities for Isaac School District students.  The Isaac Community Foundation memorialized his significant contributions by renaming their annual scholarship golf tournament after him.  This year’s Manuel R. Romo Memorial Golf Tournament was held at the Aguila Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, May 2, 2009.  The proceeds from this event go toward the Isaac Community Scholarship Fund.  The Foundation, which is a 501c(3) organization, provides scholarships to Isaac students who are attending a post secondary institution and are committed to helping others in their community.  For the past two academic years the program has awarded

scholarships in the amount of $40,000
